The types of churches there are, are catholic, Muslim, christian, Anglican and Methodist.

Roman Catholic AnswerThere are basically four "types" of Christian churches. There is the Catholic church which was started by Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Then there are the Orthodox churches which split away from the Catholic church in the 11th century, then there are the various Protestant churches which started splitting away from the Catholic Church in the sixteen century and their thousands of descendants (I think the number is over 10,000 different denominations). Finally there are the unclassified churches, most of which were started in the last several centuries by people in the United States: Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, etc. This are not technically Protestant, and they aren't even technically Christian from an historic point of view.
