The cover pictures of the Twilight series typically feature symbols or imagery that reflect elements of the story, such as an apple representing forbidden fruit or a Chess piece denoting strategic moves in the supernatural world. These images often foreshadow key themes or events in the books, and are designed to evoke curiosity and intrigue in potential readers.

TWILIGHT- apple forbidden fruit, like edward and Bella's love

NEW MOON- relationships dying and growing back together with new petals

ECLIPSE- the 2 sides of the ribbon are Edward and Jacob and the relationships with Bella are breaking but she is holding on to them both.

BREAKING DAWN- the pawn represents Bella as a human (the weakest player) while the queen is her as a vampire(no the strongest player).

Twilight: An apple (from Adam and Eve) symbolizes that Bella is Edwards forbidden fruit New Moon: A torn tulip symbolizes when Bella's heart is torn when Edward leaves her Eclipse: A torn ribbon symbolizes when Bella is torn between Jacob and Edward Breaking Dawn: The red pawn symbolizes Bella as a weak human and the white Queen symbolizes Bella as a strong new-born vampire, so the whole picture represents Bella as she transforms from a human to a vampire =D TWILIGHT IS AMAZING!! =D

The pale hands holding the red apple (cover of Twilight), was the first sign of Edward being a vampire. Also, the contrast of the pale to the red is often symbolic for vampire.

The white and red tulip on the cover of New Moon where peddles are falling off means important things are disappearing, going away, but maybe not permanently.

The silk splitting (Eclipse) means bonds are breaking.

The game of chess (my favorite book: Breaking Dawn) symbols how you need to think hard about every move, not make a single mistake and make sure you really know what you're doing before you do it.

As you may have noticed, the covers fit very well for the books.
