∙ 15y agoIt would vary from state to state I imagine. Teachers in Western PA get full health benefits, dental, vision, mental health, substance abuse..the works for no cost at all to them and with minimal copay and prescription costs. The only real costs are the union dues which work out to be about $90 a month. The teaching jobs are very competitive here and I would think areas in the South etc wouldn't be so lucritive.
