The study of aerodynamics makes one look into the effects of a fluid on a moving object. In this case, an aircraft in air. Some of the topics covered under aerodynamics are the effects of a stream of air on an aerofoil, the effets of drag due to the shape of the aircraft, and how to minimise it and the effects/soruces of vortices.

It is literally the shape of the car and how it moves through the air. The better the aerodynamics the less drag you will produce at higher speeds. It is also responsible for downforce. At higher speeds the "aerodynamics" of the car will push it toward the ground causing more "wieght" to be added to the tires thus producing more friction between them and the roadway.

Air affects everything that moves through it. Air resistance is just the special term given to fluid friction that acts on things in air. Think of jumping off a skateboard compared to jumping from a car at 50 mi/h. You would hit the same surface, but from the car you would slide across more of it in the same amount of time. It is the same with air. The faster you go, the more particles of air you are hitting. So, more friction force. i am wrong my mum

When you walk up an inclined plane your legs supply the effort force What is the resistance force?

the resistance force is the slope of the plane, or the hypotenuse.

Is air resistance good?

It keeps us from hearing all the shots around the world. It keeps every wind from being a hurricane. It slows bullets. It holds up kites and parachutes. It makes us aware of breathing.

How does air resistance affect the height of a bottle rocket?

The vertical components of the air resistance acts vertically down on it. This adds to the effect of the gravitational force. Therefore net force is increased - it slows down more rapidly and so does not rise as far.

How are air resistance and friction alike?

Air resistance is a type of fluid friction (along with water resistance) and is therefore is a type of friction.

What are facts about air resistance?

What type of friction is air resistance?fluid friction. Air resistance is fluid friction. Air resistance occurs between the surface of a falling object and the air that surrounds it. Rolling friction occurs when a rounded surface moves over a solid and sliding friction occurs when a solid moves over another solid. Static friction occurs when a solid touches another solid but there is no movement. What two factors affect air resistance?size and shape. Size and shape are the two factors that affect air resistance. Air resistance works with surface area, so the more surface area, the more air resistance. Think about when you drop two pieces of paper: one crumpled and one flat. The crumpled one falls faster because there is less air resistance acting on the paper.

by flying in the air

Why is rocket plane more efficient in the absence of air?

A rocket plane does not have to fight against air resistance if there is no air.

Does the air resistance has an affect on the projectile or not?

Not "affect"; the word is "effect" in this case. Yes, air resistance has an effect on projectiles.

When is resistance desirable?

resistance is useful when a plane is flying in the air, air resistance. it is also useful when a boat is floating on water, water resistance.

Does mass effect air resistance?

Not directly. Air resistance depends on an object's shape and type of surface.

If a skydiver jumps out of a plane which force is greater gravity or air resistance?

Gravity

Why does an airplane have to have a pointy nose?

To fight off air resistance and go faster. If the airplane had a flat nose, (like your palm) the air resistance would affect the nose and make the plane slower, while a pointy nose allows the air resistance to pass by therefore making the plane go faster.

What is the effect on the projectile motion when the diameter of the object is changed?

-- In the absence of air resistance, the object's diameter has no effect at all on the projectile motion. -- In the presence of air resistance, one has to know everything about the object AND the air in order to have a prayer of calculating the effect.

What is the drag of an airplane?

The drag of an airplane is the air resistance caused by the plane flying through air. Similar to when you pull your hand through water and feel resistance.

What is the effect of increasing speed on air resistance?

it gets faster.

How does wind effect airplane take off?

the airoplane is set in a persific path (runway) and has a lot of air resistance to keep it in the air so any wind can effect take off Wind blowing at the plane increases the lift of the wingswhich enables to the plane to become airborne at slower ground speed. A tail wind has the opposite effect. Crosswinds make level takeoff more difficult.
