If you mean animated films, some advantages are that they can do unrealistic things or use unrealistic weapons. Also, actors don't have to be like the part they play. However, the movies take very long to sync the voice and the animation and if your favorite actor or actress has a starring role, you can't actually see them, just the role they play.
