∙ 14y agopros: you can contact people when you need [especially good for emergencies]. they make you look super awesome. they're the best accessory ever. everyone has one. you can talk to all your friends.there very handy
cons: it costs money. it might break,therefore you would have to get it fixed. you could get EXTREMELY addicted to texting. It disrupts class when people have cellular devices in school. You can use them to cheat on tests. Driving accidents can be caused because people think they can talk on the phone and drive at the same time.

∙ 17y agoWe all know that the email or IMing has taken over from the phone, but when the phone first came in it connected you to your friends, family and eventually you could phone anyone in any part of the world. Although I do work on the computer (business) and also email certain friends, I still love to give them a phone call and find it's more personal and much more enjoyable. The cons of a phone is that phone ads are everywhere and they always try to nail you right at dinner so you have to go out and buy a "call display" or at least an answering machine. Here is a tip for those pesky automated dial-up ads .... the next time you get one lift up the receiver (the recording will on the other end will start up) and hit several numbers on your telephone rapidly. This confuses the automated machine and your number no longer exists in it. I've tried it and it works! Some scientists say cordless phones and cell phones MAY cause cancer, but there is no proof of this YET!
