Home remedies include: * A mixture of 50/50 White Vinegar and Sterile Water. * A mixture of 50/50 White Vinegar and Alcohol (90%). * Pure alcohol (90%). Note that if the skin is broken, whoever you treat with alcohol wil go into low orbit around the earth -- it's REALLY painful. Note also that these remedies are home remedies, and are not what I'd recommend medically. Using these home remedies may leave serious disorders untreated, which in turn may have permanent effects.

∙ 11y agoTo the best of my knowledge, there are no home remedies that actually work for an earache. You can try some over-the-counter pain medications (Tylenol, Advil, Aleve, etc.) to see if that helps, but if there is an ear infection you'll need to see a doctor for antibiotics.

∙ 13y agoOne traditional remedy is to sit in the sun so that sunlight warms the eardrum. That works best in warm climates.
Another traditional remedy is a hot water bottle held against the affected ear for 15 minutes at a time. Not too hot. Don't burn the skin.
Daily nasal rinses can help ease the irritation of ear infections.
Warm fluids like broth, tea, and coffee can help.

∙ 9y agoPlease do not go for natural cure for ear infections. When you have ear infection in external ear like boil, anything will cure the same, in almost all the cases. But the if there is otitis media or the middle ear infection, it may become complicated and can cause serious damage to you.

∙ 12y agoThe likelihood of it being just an earache is slim to none. Usually when there is an earache it is an infection and an ear infection goes hand in hand with a throat infection. You can take Motrin or ibuprofen 4 to 6 times a day and try to go to the doctor as soon as possible to prevent any other infections.
