What are some Dutch personality traits?
I guess it is the same as all over the world, every person is different. But they say the Dutch are very direct, stubborn, open to different cultures but very private at the same time. _____________________________________________________________________________________ The dutch tend to be quite intelligent too, and are known to be quite artistic (music, painting etc) in general.

A personality trait is anything internal, such as the way you speakor walk, or your likes and dislikes.

Poseidon was usually angry, and sometimes he could be quite nice, but he was also greedy, moody, cruel, and violent.
The notion of 'personality traits' for nationalities, and also the idea of 'national character' is dangerous; it's also false and misleading, and it can spill over into racism…. Germans are as varied and mixed a group of people as any other. (I spent a year working in Germany and have visited the country about 50 times, so I have quite a lot of experience of the country). During and after World War 2 all kinds of very unpleasant characteristics were ascribed to 'the Germans'. However, the Germans themselves have traditionally seen Germany as 'the country of poets and thinkers' ( das Land der Dichter und Denker ). I think people tend to pick out things that are fashionable at the time ... After all, the implied comparison with an individual with an unchanging personality is a clumsy analogy. 11/03/09- This is a valid question. In fact, it's part of an oral presentation in my dialects class. I was asked to research and present personality traits of German people. Noting differences is not racist. In fact, in this class we are embracing our differences. We had an Irish gentleman come and speak to our class about cultural and social differences as well as his own observations about American people vs. Irish people. Some people desperately need to be offended and I believe the answer that was given above is not very useful. -researcher in need Reply " ... Some people desperately need to be offended". The fact that the topic has been set for a presentation doesn't make it respectable. Most of the characteristics ascribed to nationalities and speakers of dialecs are just a load of mythology. ____ all of the above answers just demonstrate the absolute sheep mentality of people these days...criticising everything related to nationality under the guise of 'it's racism' just reflects an inability to analyse whilst separating emotion from intellectual enquiry. find another 'cause to fight'...there are cultural differences, some good, some bad, and to pretend that there are not just because you want to be fashionable is purely ignorant. ____ The question is about 'personality traits', not cultural differences. There's a big difference. To the person who wrote the last answer I'd say this: before telling other people on this site that they have a 'sheep mentality', that they 'just [...] want to be fashionable' and that they are fighting some cause read carefully what they have written.

Hrothgar the king and ruler of the great spear-danes, has many given traits. One of them is that he is bipolar. He constantly roams back and forth between rooms on a canoe of …whom many do not fear. In addition, his lack of entitlement to the spear-danes is greatly dishonored and is feared as a proprietorial doctorate. As University of Toronto would say, please open the gangnam style.

Those who have number 4 birthdays have a Gryphon personality because they possess a genuine gift for being prepared, punctual, and planning ahead. They tend to be somewhat cau…tious people, who usually are not the ones to act first and think later; and generally remain cool under fire, being careful not to sweat the small stuff, or to let others see them sweat at all, for that matter. Gryphons are mostly thought of as hardworking, but it doesn't seem like hard work to them, because they are tenacious people who desire above all else to be stable and secure. As a rule, Gryphons don't like surprises and need to know where their next meal is coming from, and know they have a place to lay their heads. For these reasons, many Gryphons work hard to create the order and structure they need in their life, so they may rest easy. As an added benefit to their need for stability and willingness to work hard for it, Gryphon people tend to be well rewarded in life, some of whom are among the wealthiest people in the world because of their stamina and practicality. Gryphon people tend to be drawn to law, and other related fields due to their tendency to be very disciplined individuals with an innate ability to plan, regulate, and enact order; as well as to become founders of long-lasting establishments.
