Elizabeth was highly intelligent. She had the knowledge of a scholar and was one of the smartest women of her time. She had a fiery temper and you didn't want to get in her way when she was angry. She was very intuitive. When Elizabeth became frightened, she often said she was sick and took to her bed so people wouldn't see her as weak. She was a charmer and had many male admirers. She was vain and as she got older she had the mirrors in the palace taken down because she didn't want to see herself grow old.
Elizabeth was incredibly vain so hated it if any of her ladies got married because that meant that male attention was not on her. She had a furious temper and would throw her shoes at people if they got on the wrong side of her. Also it is said that when angry she once broke a woman's finger and stabbed another with her eating knife. She could also be very kind and compassionate. She is probably best known for her intelligence, sharp wit and tendency to hyperbole all of which were impressive and sometimes annoying!
