The main conflict of Eragon was that Eragon doesn't know what to do- to trust Brom or not, and to go to the Varden or not
Basically, the main conflict in Eragon, is that Eragon Has to make the Decision of what to do when he get's to the Varden. Will He stay there, and Battle the empire his whole life, contently in war, will he Roam Alagaesia his whole life with Saphira, Or will he hide in the woods, hidden his whole life against the world?

∙ 15y agoIn Eragon, there once was a war between the dragons and the elves. after the war, to keep peace, they established the dragon riders. the riders and their dragons were to keep justice in the world. but after a while, one of the riders went on a pointless expitition and his dragon was killed. after he was refused a new one, he decided to conquer the world, and he did. there is only one dragon left, and 3 eggs. the only hope is that an egg will hatch to help defeat the evil king. eragon, a farm boy, finds the egg and the dragon hatches. he is a poor farm boy, and workds for every scrap of food on his table, so he is very confused. news of this reaches the king, and eragon is forced to flee, with the help of only a story teller. eragon and his new dragon Saphira, with no experience whatsoever must try and bring peace to the world. I read all of the books. they are wonderful. the best part is the depth in each of the characters

∙ 14y agoWell, one is when Eragon's uncle gets killed by the Ra'zac. Second is when eragon is not sure if Jode is trustworthy. A third is when Eragon finds out that murtagh is Mor'Zan's son.

∙ 13y agoIt's fairly complicated. At first, the conflict is between Eragon and the Ra'zac, who killed his uncle. When Brom, Eragon's companion and teacher, dies on the road, Eragon then decides to join the Varden, a group of rebels opposed to Galbatorix. When he comes across a poisoned elven woman, it the conflict his between him and time, as he races across the desert to get the elf her required antedote at the Varden. In the end, there is a battle in which Eragon slays Durza, one of Galbatorix's henchmen.
Overall, the main conflict of the series is between Eragon and the evil king Galbatorix.
