That would be ethanol. That is the only one that is semi-safe for human consumption. Consuming lots of ethanol can still be very dangerous.

Methanol and Propanol are two other 'alcohols' with differing chemical structure and they are very poisonous to humans.

Theoretically, an infinite number. Alcohol is a generic term. One definition of alcohol is "Hydrocarbon derivative containing an --OH group attached to a carbon atom not in an aromatic ring." Hydrocarbon is a generic term also!

To complicate matters, Propanol has two structural isomers, Butanol has four, Pentanol has eight (I think!)......., depending on which carbon atom the --OH group is attached to. For example, propanol has three carbon atoms. The --OH group can be attached to either the one in the middle or one of the two at the end.

wine and hard alcohol

What is a unit of alcohol?

A unit of alcohol is the amount of alcohol that is in one (12-oz or 16-oz) beer, one (6-oz) glass of wine, or one shot of hard liquor. 12 ounces (approx. 375ml) of 5% beer will contain about 18ml of pure alcohol; that is approximately one unit.

What will get you drunk the fastest?

Standard servings of beer (12 oz.), wine (5 oz.) and distilled spirits (1 & 1/2 oz.) each contain the same amount of pure alcohol -- .06 oz. They're all the same to an alcohol breath tester. Hard liquor will most definitely get you drunk the fastest. Vodka, rum, whiskey, brandy, etc.... The higher the alcohol percentage or proof, the more alcohol is in the beverage. For example: Most vodka is 90 proof which is 45% alcohol. It should take you anywhere from 5-8 shots of this to get you topsy-turvey depending on your weight, and how long you have been drinking.
