The previous actors were Lon Chaney Jr., Randy Quaid and John Malcovich, so my choice would be Val Kilmer, Benico Del Toro, Charlie Sheen, Ben Affleck, Cuba Gooding, Kevin Spacey.

I think if a another remake was done with black actors Morgan Freeman and Cuba Gooding would be an excellent choice.
