they range from Mexico to Argentina- yes. they do. but they also live in any place in America that is considered tropical. they do not nest in a certain area unless it is foresty with lots of hollow trees for them to nest. they also enjoy high elevations such as mountains or tall trees, which can be found in Costa Rica, the amazon river, Belize(Central America), and many other places. overall, toucans love warm, humid, tree filled areas.
