While Harrison was in the military, Jefferson wasn't, so he never really had a "command." Harrison was Governor of the Indiana Territory while Jefferson was President. They didn't really have a much closer connection than that, though Jefferson did grant Harrison authority to conduct treaties with the Indians in the territory.
