It would be to assume he was not racist because he had a black band, raps with black people, and hangs out with black people. However, Eminem had grew up in a black area. He was beaten for being white. Rap was his only way to fit in. If he had raped with white folks, everyone would see him as a racist. However if he raped with black folks, than everone sees him as a want-to-be-black-person. Eminem has used the "N" word many times and not in a I-wanna-be-black way. If he was racist nobody would care because they see him as part black.

∙ 12y agoin yellow brick road he addresses this issue. basically he was bitter about a breakup he had gone through with his girlfriend who was black, he lashed out in a racist freestyle.
he has later apologised and stated many times it was an action done in anger and imaturity and is definteley not a racist.
the racist song was called foolish pride.

i am black and don't belive he is racist, people do stupid things when there young and heartbroken, not condoning his actions, but everyone makes mistakes, it was years ago, maybe its time to get over it.
