Replace the Transmission Fluid from Honda Dealer.. simply drain from drain pitcock and refill. The damage may be to much at this point pending how many miles you have. There is no transmission filter to deal with. Worst case it may give you a little while longer on the transmission. ...this is assuming you have an automatic trans, that was not stated in the ? Honda automatic transmission are a weak link in their automobiles.

What can you do if your 1997 Taurus is slipping?

Whatever you do, do not use "Stop Slip" Additives. These thick and syrupy additives will gum up the filter, cause fluid starvation and hurt the transmission worse. If the transmission is slipping, It can be due to several things. The most common, is the Torque Converter, it can fail and cause the transmission to slip consistently. Next could be the seals on the Transmission engagement piston (found in AX4S transmissions) the seals tend to go bad causing the transmission to lose pressure during shifting and actuation causing the vehicle to slip into gear. In extreme cases, the piston itself maybe cracked. Another possibility is faulty solenoids. Solenoids that do not engage quickly and securely can cause slipping, particularly with those that manage pressure in the transmission. If only one gear is slipping, this is probably your culprit. And finally, another common cause of slipping is worn or loose clutch bands inside the transmission. These aren't like a regular clutch in a manual vehicle, and require knowledge to replace and tune. If in doubt, take it to a trusted mechanic.

My 95 Mazda 929 feels like the tranny it vibrates a lot whenever going like 40 when the gas is let offAnd when accelerating to the floor it slips really badBut when slowly hit the floor goes fine.?

If it's slipping, it's most likely a slipping clutch problem. If it's an automatic, you're talking about a complete transmission rebuild. If it's a manual shift you're talking about a new clutch plate, pressure plate and throwout bearing and you'll need to have the flywheel resurfaced. The vibration could be several problems, but you had better take care of the slipping problem first, because once a transmission starts slipping, it doesn't last long. Clutch surfaces in an automatic aren't very thick and they don't last long once they start slipping.

What are the causes of high fuel consumption in suzuki escudo vehicles?

Several problems can cause high fuel consumption. An engine that needs a tune up, a slipping transmission or a problem with a sensor giving bad information to the computer can all cause low fuel economy.

What do you do about your 1992 Saturn transmission slipping?

Automatic transmissions wear out. Usually a slipping transmission is caused by low pressure to the clutch hydraulic circuit. If there is insufficient hydraulic pressure to hold the clutches in gear the transmission will "slip". The problem is, once the transmission starts to slip, the clutches go bad REAL quickly. Low pressure to the clutches can be caused by any of several failure points. If the pump fails or starts to wear out, the pressure can drop, allowing the clutches to slip. If the valve body (system of hydraulic valves that control shift points and gear selection) fails, hydraulic fluid can leak past the seals, lowering the hydraulic pressure to the clutches. But typically, once a transmission has started to slip, it means that the clutches should be replaced along with other components. SOMETIMES, you can replace or rebuild the valve body or hydraulic pump, and if the clutches aren't too bad, you may be able to get by without a complete transmission rebuild.
