It could be reinfected. See a dentist.
Yes. I had a root canal done on one of mine when I was 10 or 11 and one on the other front tooth a couple years later, as the result of an accident.
6 year olds get their first adult molar at the back of the mouth , and if a cavity gets too deep quickly, the nerve will die, and the tooth will need root canal treatment.
No 2 year olds that need a root canal have been neglected and abused. You should contact child protective services. Joeseph berkely m.d.
If the tooth can be saved with a root canal (pulpotomy) or other treatment, it should be done. The adult tooth that will replace this baby tooth may not erupt until the child is six or seven years old, and the dental arch may shrink if the baby tooth is lost too soon. This will lead to problems when the adult tooth erupts and the child may require extensive and expensive orthodontic treatment to correct the problems.
Yes. I had an abcessed tooth for about a year and I did not know it. My blood pressure was really weird during that time, as soon as I went on antibiotics and then had a root canal done, my blood pressure went back to normal. I also had a cousin who had a tooth abscessed and she did not know it. Well she died and they did an autopsy on her because they did not know her cause of death and they found pus in her heart cavity leading down from where the tooth was.
Headaches and head pressure are a real 'pain' to contend with especially when it keeps reoccurring. And, headache as a symptom is not easy to track down because it can have many causes, including:sinusitis or sinus pain - especially if the tooth's roots are close to or in the sinus cavityteeth, infected tooth, impacted tooth, or tooth abscessneck or shoulder problemor allergySince it has been a year and a half, I'd start with your family doctor. He/she can try to rule out the different possibilities and try to narrow it down. You should also visit a dentist to rule out an actual tooth problem, if a problem exists. Ask them to do an X-ray of the root-canal. On a root canal I had done, the old type of posts used were pressing on a nerve. For mine, the tooth finally split in half (front came off) and the pain went away... of course, I lost that tooth, though.I doubt a dentist or Dr would give you an antibiotic because it's been so long since the procedure. But do ask your GP to check your sinuses and ENT (ears, nose, throat).
Abcess, where bacteria has set up an infection at the end of the tooth's root.Might be a gum infection.Either way, get to a dentist. Any infection should be treated, especially one in the head region.
I have wondered this too. I had a root canal over a year ago with 2 crowns (first one supposedly didn't fit well). I have continued to have significant pain although the dentist tells me everything looks good and there is no infection. Several days ago, I significantly cut back on sugar for another reason and the tooth pain has decreased incredibly. I am wondering if there is something within the gums or roots? that continue to be affected by sugar.
by all means....i have no 9 year old...wakakak
It can only be recommended by dentist. I would suggest please go to doctor and complete check up of the child as usually root canal is performed on adults.
Root canal treatment has become a common dental procedure. According to the American Association of Endodontists, more than 14 million root canal treatments are performed every year, with a 95% success rate.
IF it's sensitive, the root may be dieing. A few years ago in the pool against the edge I chipped half my tooth (got it bonded). I have to look out for sensitivity as well. If its dieing, easy fix. You can get a root canal and then see from there.
