You should buy an omnidirectional antenna with a high gain (measured in dBi) if you have a wireless G or B router. If not, I recommend you to buy a wireless N router that comes with 3 antennas. It really increases your signal strength and range. You don't need to have a wireless N adapter to use it, as it supports the older modulations

The speed of a modem is determined by the number of kilobits or megabits per second it can transmit and receive.
1. This means that transmit and receive pairs are internally swapped to maintain proper signal alignment of the TX and RX wire pairs

omnidirectional
to transmit or receive radio signal
SISO-OFDM is an OFDM system with one transmit and one receive antenna.
why not.. it is possible specially in satellites where such kind of antenna's are known as transceivers that is they can transmit and receive at the same time.
Omnidirectional
Answer: No. Previous generations of mobile phones used the dipole antenna. (Some protruded, others were retractable.) A mobile phone must work in any orientation, so the antenna must be omnidirectional.
That depends on a number of factors. Antenna height both receive and transmit. Transmitter power and antenna gain. About 15 miles max.
Radio receivers are designed to receive radio signals in conjunction with a receiving antenna.
A radio repeater works by having the transmitter and receiver on separate frequencies. This allows the transmitter to re-transmit the received audio or data. To prevent the transmitter from opening due to noise on the receiver most systems will only re-transmit if they receive a keying tone at the start of the transmission, a sub audible tone which is transmitted with the normal modulation or a digital code. Some repeaters use a separate antenna for transmit and receive although most use a single antenna and a filtering arrangement to split the transmit and receive frequencies. This filter is called a duplexer as it permits duplex operation.
Omnidirectional is the best brand for antennas because its ideal for high gain and wide coverage. They transmit or receive effectively in every direction.
A television repeater can be a TV translator. It receives a distant station thru a receive antenna mounted high on a tower then re-broadcast this signal from transmit antenna(s) on a different channel, mounted on the same tower.
while receive is not that important, transmit/receive is proportional here is the formula 234 divided by the frequency in Megahertz= length in feet 93.1/234=2.51 feet or 30 inches
