I think it's way too long. I am homeless on the streets of California and it will be 6 months for me on the 29th of November. I won my case and was approved for disability and ssi on may 29th and I'm still waiting. It gets cold out here!!! I don't think they really care. I read a letter on SS website that said 18,000 plus people died over a three year period while waiting for social security. I am a U.S. veteran, I was hit hardest by hurricane Katrina in Biloxi, MS and I am 100% disabled and homeless for over 2 years now. No I don't think they care about when they are going to pay us or however long it takes. I am glad to see that someone else is also concerned....HANG IN THERE !! IT WILL EVENTUALLY COME......... BEN
When will disability social security checks be deposited in july 2014
How much money can I earn monthly while on Social Security disability Insurance
Once you reach retirement age, your Social Security Disability benefits convert to regular retirement benefits, payable at the same rate. You cannot collect an additional amount due to disability. It is possible that you could qualify for the SSI supplemental security income, which is based on disability and income, in addition to your month Social Security benefit, but this is a different program and is not administered by the SSA. The amount of SSI paid is adjusted monthly based on what the person was able to earn in that month.
Probably. What does your policy say?
Yes, but you must let social security know about the income. Your benefit amount may be reduced some to offset part of the income.
While receiving social security disability benefits, the maximum amount of additional monthly income allowed from working is $900 a month gross.

Social security checks are deposited on the second, third, or fourth Wednesday of each month, depending on your day of birth, according to the schedule below. If you were born on the:1 - 10th of the month, expect your Social Security check to be deposited on the 2nd Wednesday of each month11 - 20th of the month, expect your Social Security check to be deposited on the 3rd Wednesday of each month21 - 31th of the month, expect your Social Security check to be deposited on the 4th Wednesday of each monthExceptions to when Social Security checks arrive:You started receiving benefits before 1997 - then your Social Security check is paid on the third day of the month. You can request to change this according to the day of birth schedule above. You are receiving both Social Security benefits and SSI payments - expect your Social Security check to be deposited on the third day of the month
No. Someone cannot receive both Social Security retirement and disability benefits at the same time. Social Security Disability Insurance provides monthly benefits to individuals who are under full retirement age (age 65 and/ or older) and who can no longer work because of a severe disability. The impairment must be expected to last for more than 12 months.
The starting salary of an Administrative Law (Social Security) Judge is about $116,000 to $129,000 per year. The pay goes up quite dramatically as the years and experience mount up.
The amount of income you could receive in addition to Social Security benefits will depend on the type of benefit your Disability insurance coverage provides. Some benefits will offset with all Social Security benefits you qualify for, which essentially means the additional income you receive will be equal to the difference of your monthly benefit and your Social Security benefits.$5,000 Disability insurance benefit (off-settable)$1,000 Social Security benefitYou will receive a net $4,000 of additional income and a total of $5,000.There is also a benefit called "base" benefit, which does not offset with Social Security benefits. In this scenario the additional income you will receive is equal to your entire Disability insurance benefit.$5,000 Disability insurance benefit (not off-settable)$1,000 Social Security benefitYou will receive a net $5,000 of additional income and a total of $6,000.
