How many players can be on a basketball court per game?

At one time, there may be 10 players on a court, 5 from each team. During substitutions and time-outs, there may be brief moments when there are more than 10 players on the court at one time. During game play, keeping too many players on the court other than to switch a player out will result in a technical foul.

What are the odds of a high school basketball player making it into the WNBA?

There is a VERY SLIM chance of one making it to the NBA. Lets put it this way; there are 15 players on a basketball team in high school. There are around 10 schools in most school districts. Fifteen players X 10 schools = 150 players. There are only 60 players taken in every NBA draft. There are 150 players just in those schools, and that didn't even cover 1/1000th of the state. Only the best of the best make it into the NBA. There is a greater chance of collegiate scouts noticing high school players and the players making it into college, but into the NBA, very slim. ---- Okay let's explore. How many high schools are there in the world? Now the boys. Now the boys who play basketball for their team. That's about 10,000,000 at any given time. Now before going into the foreign markets, let's see how many Division 1 schools there are...312? 312 times 12 is about close to 4,900. Add the foreign markets -- given that many will be in the Division 1 colleges in the U.S., there's probably about say...500 then of high school hopefuls, old men in NDBL leagues and former NBA players attempting tryouts, for a grand total of about 5,400... 5,400 out of 10 FREAKING MILLION!!! Now in college, keep in mind that you have to get good stats and have people notice you in order to have a shot at making the pros. So out of 5,400, there's 312 times 5 starters, 1560. Now out of that 1560, many will be seen out east and are on teams that are in the top 25. That's ultra important. So 30 times 5, we've suddenly cut this pool of 1560 NBA wannabes down 90%!!!!! 156!!!! Jealously must be insane with this group of 156 players. Because from here, the NBA only picks 60 players a year...and only about 40 make a team!!! Therefore the final score here at Staples Center.... Making the NBA is a 40 in 10,000,000 shot.

What kinds of numbers would I multiply by to get answers that are slightly greater than my starting number?

If you multiply your number by any number greater than 1, the result will be greater than the starting number - assuming your number is positive. If your number is negative, you need to multiply it by any number less than 1, to get a result that is greater than the original number. To get a number that is slightly greater, multiply by a number that is slightly greater than 1 (ot slightly lee than= -1).

When a whole number is multiplied by a decimal smaller than one what can you conclude about the result?

The result is less than the whole number and greater than or equal to the decimal. Unless the whole number is negative in which case the result is greater than the whole number and less than or equal to the decimal.

Are back aches common for basketball players?

They are not that common at all. Most players would receive backaches only from hitting the ground (i.e. after attempting to draw a charge). Bending down constantly could also result in a backache, but during basketball, it is rare. The problem is most likely from another source, but it could be from basketball.

What is the sign for multiplication and addition?

If you multiply two numbers, the result will be positive, if both factors are positive, or if both are negative. Multiplying a positive number by a negative number, or a negative number by a positive number, results in a negative result. For addition, if you add two positive numbers, the result is positive. If you add two negative numbers, the result is negative. If you add a positive and a negative number, the result depends on which of the numbers has the greater absolute value. For example, if the positive number has the greater absolute value (distance from zero), the result will be positive. If you multiply two numbers, the result will be positive, if both factors are positive, or if both are negative. Why is anything mulpitied by a number always greater?

because when mulitipling that number your always going to get a greater number because that's just how mulipication worksWhen multiplying two whole numbers the result will always be greater than either number except when multiplying by zero (the result will always be zero), or multiplying by one (the result is always the other number). Although it f obvious to most people, it can be demonstrated as follows:When multiplying a number by 2, the result is twice the number. When multiplying a number by 3, the result is three times the number, even bigger. When multiplying a number by 4, the result is four times the number, even bigger still. The pattern continues. Each time you multiply by a larger number, the result gets even bigger.a

What are two mathods of comparing numbers?

One option for comparing two numbers is to subtract the first number from the second number. If the result is less than zero, the first number is larger. If the result is greater than zero, the second number is larger. If the result is zero, the numbers are equal. Another option (for positive numbers) would be to divide the first number by the second number. If the result is greater than one, the first number is larger. If the result is less than one, the second number is larger. If the result is one, the numbers are equal. This rule flips if you are comparing negative numbers.

Is 4.8 greater than 2.3?

of course 4.8 is greater . Here is a simole trick for you 4.8 -2.3 =2.5 if the result is bigger than zero then the first number is greater else the second one is greater (2.3-4.8)=-2.5 this means the second number is greater.
