n India the demand of electricity per head is more than generation of electricity.
Moreover till December 2011, over 300 million Indian citizens had no access to electricity. With the growing population the demand also increasing. However, generation of electricity is not increasing at that pace. In the picture it is showing a good sign as shortage of power in peak is reducing year by year.
