Question: Explain how our nervous system enables our body to function.

Well, the nervous system is our "Control or Navigation Room". All of what we hear, see, taste, smell, are controlled by our Nervous System and the Nervous System goes through a process that must be under a second. How we interpret, analyze, and think is also controlled by the Nervous System. Well sometimes, analyzing can take a long time. Because, the brain is processing some stuff up there for you to come up with something. Remember: not all things that are controlled by the brain is fast and is under a second to react. Right now, my brain is talking and analyzing about itself, because, I am writing in my own words. So, I am not actually answering the question yet and I already have 8 sentences here.

Okay, as I said that the Nervous System (or mainly the brain), is the "Control or Navigation Room". And it enables our body to function because, it sends messages to different parts of the body and that's how it does it. When the part of the body isn't functioning properly, the brain will send messages through the spinal cord and to wherever it will need to be delivered, and will say to that part, "Rest, so you will be well a little later."

Question: Does our brain go to sleep when we are asleep?

Um, no. They don't. Because, they are the ones who makes our dreams right? So, they will make up an unimaginable story and show a play in your mind starring you and different people you never knew. Well, if you don't dream, it doesn't mean your brain's sleeping. Remember that you move around whenever you sleep? You move side to side or even your face down the pillow. And as I have said above that the brain sends messages to make body parts move, right? So, the brain sends messages. I the right part of the back is tired, the brain will say, "Turn around the other way". That's how it goes!
