I am wondering this same thing. I never slept well, being tired during the day and really awake at night. I have been taking Strattera for 6 days now (just upped from 18 -> 25mg yesterday) and I seem drowsy and heavily yawn during the day.
Answeri found that taking stattera around 2 pm, every 24 hrs, seems to work for me. that way i am not tired during the morning, i sleep at night and it helps through the "down time" of the day. Dani T AnswerI have also found that the afternoon is the ideal time to take Straterra. I began by taking it in the morning, but found that by the evening I was, while not incredibly so, more fatigued than I had been previously. If I take it 8-10 hours before I am ready to sleep, it is ideal.
AnswerI take strattera in the morning as soon a i wake up i have been taking it for roughly 2 months. You may seem very tired during the day at first, but as your body gets used to it the fatigue begins to ware off. I have always had trouble sleeping usually getting 4 hours a night and as long as I don't sleep during the day I can go strait to sleep. Good luck with the medicine! My Son has been on Strattera for about 1 - 2 years, and his doctor prescribed the medicine to be taken before bedtime because it could cause drousiness. Once my mother gave it to him in the morning because she had forgotten to give it the night before, and she had to check him out of school because he couldn't concentrate & was too sleepy. Cathy
i'm 15 and find it difficult if i take my afternoon dosage (10mg) of strattera about 2-3 hours before i go to bed because it keeps me up. even if i want to sleep it will keep my mind going and going and it's so annoying!
== == When taken any medication, always follow the directions as given by your prescribing physician. Some doctors prescribe Strattera to be taken in divided doses: First dose in the morning, and the second dose in the late afternoon or early evening. However, everyone is different, and each patient needs to take it as prescribed. If in doubt, call your doctor AND your pharmacist for clarification.
My 5 yr. old grandson takes Strattera right after breakfast, in the morning. This was the doctors recommendation. Tom
I take 40mg of Strattera in the morning around 8am and then I take another at around 5pm.
It depends on how you react to it. Some people get a little wired from SSRIs (best to take in the morning) but some people find the exact same drug to be a little sedating.
You can take anything with fluoxetine, but make sure not to get a "PM" formula because of the sleeping medication.
I've taken fluoxetine for years and I have severe asthma. I've noticed no effect at all.
No, but if you want, go see your docter
A doc just prescribed me both today. 50mg Fluoxetine in the morning, 50mg Sulpiride in the evening. Diagnosed with anxiety disorder, my main symptoms being hyperventilation. Hope that helps!
can i use chlordiazepoxide while using fluoxetine
No. Fluoxetine has no impact on drug testing.

It should be fine to take these medications together. If you have concerns or questions, you should check with your doctor or pharmacist.
The brand name for Fluoxetine is Prozac, Sarafem or Prozac.
I would seriously considering speaking to your doctor. I'm going to go ahead and assume that the overdose was an accident, but either way you should let your doctor know so that as he/she may help you. If fluoxetine was helpful prior to the overdose, it may indeed be helpful to restart it, when your physician believes that this is the right thing to do.
It's neither, 12 noon and 12 midnight are just that although there are a lot of illiterates in positions where they should know better!)
No, Fluoxetine is a generic form of Prozac which is used to treat depression.
