Should you tell your best guy friend you like him and how?

This is a tough one....is it worth losing your best friend over? That could happen...however, if you have considered all of those aspects....all of the negative things that could happen, and you still feel that you WANT to tell him/her...go ahead. Just be prepared..they may feel the same way, OR they may get totally freaked out by this and feel so uncomfortable around you...that they will begin to avoid you. Once my best friend told me that he loved me, I didn't feel the same way...BUT, I was honest with him...and we became better friends. It depends on the friendship. I do really believe that to be in love, the person HAS to be your BEST friend. So...there is no easy way out. well if you feel he likes you then yes. if he is happy with a girlfriend than no. you dont know can happen to your relationship if he doesnt love you back. i was there twice. but i would do it again if i feel its worth it

That really depends if you think he will take it well. You must remember that there is a high chance that he might just see you as a friend and say no. Beware that you could end up ruining a great friendship. However, there is a chance that it could work out. If you are both really comfortable with each other that could make it a lot easier. It really all depends on the guy.

I have the same issue i dont know if the boy likes me though , he swoops his hair in front of me , where ever i go he sees me and i see him, i had a dream about him, he stares at me alot someone help please ? And i dont think you should tell his friend if you tell his friend the boy will prob think your telling a joke and hell might not like you again he might think you might not have the guts to tell the truth. If you see him alone go by him and ask him , but not in front of people if he says no then your gonna be embarrassed forever! And ever! Can you help me tooo thanks???!!!!

if you are in primary school sure but i doubt they will take you seriously if you are older than yr9. i mean if you really like him you will want to be able to feel open with them. if you don't feel you can tell them yourself you can ask your friend to say but how does the person that you like actually know they are not just messing around especially if they arnt good friends or don't kn ow each other very well

Well, you need to think about your situation.

Will it actually benefit you to tell your best friend about your feelings? Or is this perhaps something that's best kept secret? Considering their supposedly interested in someone else. Is this a passing thing? Like a phase or what have you.

Most importantly I think you should ask yourself "is this getting in the way of the friendship?" and "Will telling him make the friendship better or worse?"

Think about whether you're willing to sacrifice your friendship for a deeper relationship that might not happen/work.

• You're going to have to build up the confidence in telling him, that's just about all there is to it, there isn't REALLY some sort of secret in asking someone out no matter who he or she is. And you should tell him, you never know, something good could come out of it that you would have never expected from a guy friend, generally speaking, the most successful, healthy relationships are when a relationship of the sort starts with being a friend-based one.
