Yes, some endangered animals have been saved by staying in a zoo and being bred so the population is larger. Also, they need to be helped if they have serious injuries they can be helped and eventually put back into the wild. This can also help them from being attacked or shot by hunters.

Yes, but elephants walk around 30 miles a day out in the wild but in the zoo's they are kept in small confined areas. It is also good because the conserve some animals and are scientifically proven to live longer in zoo's. Either way its kind of the same, there are good reasons but they're are also bad in ways also.
