Should animals be kept in zoos and why?

actually if animals are born in captivity they should not be released because they do not have the parents or instincts to help them learn to find food and survive. Think of it this way, if a tiger was born in a zoo and you released it it would die because it didn't have it's parents in the wild to teach it how to hunt and do other things to stay alive, so animals born in captivity must stay in captivity.

they should be kept free because they can have space to move and communicate with relatives and plus if they were in zoos they would communicate through glass which they are suppose to comunicate together.. hope this workss

There is a common misconception that zoos just go out and trap wild animals and stick them in cages. The reality is That most animals in zoos today were born in captivity, as were there parents and grandparents. You cannot just release them into the wild; they would not know how to survive or find food, and would become a threat to humans, as they will look to them for food. Therefore animals already in zoos should be kept in zoos.

Also many zoos rescue animals that are injured or orphaned or that are being kept illegally as exotic pets. These animals are usually not candidates for re-release.

Everyone has their own opinion.sometimes it depends on the zoo.Animals that are endangered should probably be kept in zoos so we can observe their behavior and learn more about their species so they can possibly be brought up from extinction.And also,animals that live in captivity live much longer than animals that don't.But the down side to this is that if an animal is born in captivity and cannot be returned to the wild because it will not know what to do and will definetly soon die.If an animal has been brought from the wild to captivity because of an injury they sometimes put them in zoos instead of small cramped holding cells and then when the animal is fully healed they can return the animal to the wild.zoos also provide a great learning trip and might incourage kids to help and protect endangered animals,especially zoos with learning and animal interactive programs.

sometimes zoos aren't in good condition which makes the animals unhappy and is very cruel to he animal to have to live out is life like that.some animals arnt s'posed to live in captivity because they dont take to the conditions very well and soon may die
