Yes, it really just depends on the age of the child. All children should have vitamin C but you have to make sure you don't give a child an overdose and you don't want to give it to little in case of scurvy.

Kids, or adults who have a reasonably healthy diet that contains some fresh fruit and/or vegetables, have enough vitamin C in their diet and don't need more. However, if you have an unhealthy diet that is lacking in fresh fruit and/or vegetables, then extra vitamin C would be very helpful.

The general recommendation for vitamin c is 90 milligrams per day and no more than 2 grams per day

To keep them healthy and strong. Children need to grow up strong and healthy. Not just kids need vitamin c. Everyone needs it.
