Go to the other hemisphere in the winter or buy full spectrum flourescent tubes for your bathroom.

For people who suffer from SAD - Seasonal Affective Disorder - it is no joke for them or their families. A lot of people get the "winter blues" due to there being less daylight and sunlight during the winter months.

However, for some it can end up in depression. There's a lot of things sufferers of SAD can do to help them selves, icluding trying to get outside each day. However, I use a SAD light box in my office and it certainly helps me.
