No, Scientologists do not have to follow any diet and are not required to avoid any food.
Scientologists are however encouraged to eat and get all the nutriments they need.
In the book "Clear Body Clear Mind", L. Ron Hubbard states as follows:
" Locating and remedying deficiencies and excesses in vitamins, minerals, enzymes, sugar, protein, oil and fats, carbohydrates and bulk fiber as well as other dietary supplements is the keynote of dieting. No special substance or food or abstinence from it is a whole answer.
Diets should be considered a subject where one seeks a balance of body support elements and determines quantity. Fasting, magic foods eaten to the exclusion of others and dozens of dietary fads alike tend to be more harmful than beneficial. "
