Jainism emphasised the doctrine of non-violence which resulted in a feeling of peace. Even the Kshatriyas gave up their fighting spirit and gradually became weak and peace-loving . As such,they lost their strength to face the invading enemies which ultimately brought almost the whole country under foreign subjugation. Thus,the doctrine of ahimsa of Jainism did not leave a healthy impact in the political field.
