This sounds like some nerve problem that is a little higher up. These nerves "follow" along the ribs to the front side. It could be muscle pull, too. It is hard to guess this way. See how things are in a few days. Take some generic pain meds but follow directions. Try heat or cold or both. Any idea why now that you have thought about it for awhile? Did you try to pick up something very heavy? If it gets worse and not a bit better in a day or so, see the doctor.
