Out of the whole US do the oldest get to do what they want?

An excellent question that falsely assumes that age alone is the key to all freedoms of and from control. The old generally concede the need for support. The young may forget that their freedoms were gained by the sacrifice of previous generations. The Founding Fathers, the hippies, the flower children, the protesters, the Freedom Riders, the Birminham bus protestors, those who Marched on Washington, those who serve in the Armed Forces in foreign posts were and are the best, brightest and finest of the youth this Nation has to offer. The old are the survivors. If your question was meant to imply that an older sibling has a better position or status in life then the younger kinder, forgive those who granted it and those who accepted it. Life is essentially unfair. Love from parents rarely discriminates by intention. The oldest are first in line to die, a privilege they did not seek or ask for. Cut them some slack. The youngest among us will one day wane, suffer and perish, but only if they can survive puberty, adolesence, adulthood, the comfortable years and the long wait for release.
