Ok So you have a very irregular period and now am wondering if you are pregnant?

I put this question up, but need to give more information the site wouldn't let me put more info up. I can go 6 months without a period. and my past period was about a month to a month 1/2 ago. This past Saturday and once two weeks ago my bf and I, foolishly, had unprotected sex. We decided not to get the Plan B pill because we feel that if I become pregnant it wouldn't be the end of the world. Well on Sunday afternoon I started what I thought was my period but there are a few things that make me think it's not a period and it's vaginal bleeding....
1) it is WAY WAY too soon for me to start my period
2) it's doing a weird pattern it starts up and then stops then starts up then stops, not consistent at all, and not heavy at all
Last Thursday I was getting really sharp pains in the lower abdominal area like someone was stabbing me from the front to the back and they were doing like the bleeding is now going and coming back. I also have been getting a lot more pregnancy symptoms....
Could I be pregnant? I know it's too early to take a home pregnancy test....

You should take a pregnancy test. If your period is late and you have had unprotected sex, you could very likely be pregnant. Sometimes, stress can lead to a delayed or irregular period. If you are stressing that you may be pregnant, you, yourself could be causing yourself the stress therefore delaying your period. Your best bet is to take a pregnancy test, even if the sex was protected.

3 days isn't very late as periods are often irregular, if you have had unprotected sex then it is possible you could be pregnant, however the more you worry about a late period the later it will come.
