How did Pennsylvania differ from Virginia in regards to their relationship to native Americans?

They had okay relations in comparison to the other colonies, but it was by no means "great" or "close". They did trade goods and the land was fairly traded for, but they two peoples never got along and it led to a war between the colonists and a union of tribes led by Chief Pontiac. After their defeat the natives migrated west away from the colony.

Like the other colonies, relations between the settlers and the Native Americans were often hostile. Although the relationship wasn't nearly as bad as in some of the colonies, the relationship eventually deteriorated as well, and led to war between the settlers and Chief Pontiac's tribe. The tribe was defeated and moved west, as did most of the Native Americans along the east coast.

The relations with Pennsylvania and the native Americans shared a strong bond. They helped each other, and most tribes were freindly. The only warlike tribe that they were not freindly with were the Hohaskanis. Other than that tribe, they shared a very strong bond.

For a time during the 18th century Pennsylvania was a sanctuary for native Americans all over the 13 colonies because Pennsylvania was founded on Quaker ideals. These ideals were about being very tolerant of other races, religions and gender, these very ideals were very radical for its time. But the press of European settlement and the spread of smallpox both severely caused the number of native Americans in the area to decline and made native Americans to move westward.
