Craftsman garage door key pad the code was changed but the old code still works as well How do you erase the old code?

Depends on the type of garage door remote and opener you have. IF it is the older type with dip switches then just match the new number to the motor heads to the remote. If it is not then there are a series of easy steps, but without knowing the correct one it's difficult to determine.

∙ 14y agosimply press the "learn button" on your garage door opener and walk over to the keypad and press any 4 digit combo you would like and press enter. 1.press learn button 2.walk to keypad 3.press a 4 digit number 4.press enter

∙ 13y agoOn the back of the motor itself, press the button labelled "Radio set". Then on the keypad, enter your new code and press enter. It will flash a couple of times to indicate that it is accepting your new code.

I had a model 139.53674SRT2 which was a few years older but looks identical. When I replaced the unit with yours my old remotes did not work. After calling the sears garage door help line - 800.528.5236, I was informed that my old remotes were not compatible. The compatible remote - serial # 139.53753 was purchased yesterday and works properly.

If you changed the right one the one before the converter then it should go off but you must erase it from the OBD yourself using a scan tool or taking it to somebody.
