Confirm that your circuit breakers have not tripped.
Test for power at the motor --- you need a meter --- be careful. do not stand in water on the deck at the equipment.
If there is power at the back of the motor where the wires attach to the posts then your motor may be bad.

If, and only if, the horsepowers are the same and the fittings are the same size, yes. Don't change the horsepower of your pump without changing your filter without consulting a professional.

Not aware that Hayward made motors. You need the pump seal, gaskets or orings and the tools to remove and reinstall the motor and the seal. The electrical connections and power need to be removed and or turned off at the circuit breaker.

it has a threaded shaft and there is no way to reverse this motor. if the motor is reversed it will spin the impeler off the shaft and BREAK THE PUMP !. the only way to reverse it is to change the in and outlets..
