I would at least try the lense on a few pictures and see what the quality is. Depending on the price of a new one, you could even remove the front lense and clean it, or have it done by a professional.

Autofocus for Action?

The d2x camera, from Nikon, has an excellent autofocus option that can be used to capture fast action. It has been designed in such a way that it can lock on to a target, keeping it in focus no matter what happens. This is great for taking pictures of one person on a basketball court, for example. It can be very hard to find this focus on your own because you need to have such a fast reaction time. You should use the autofocus function if things are happening quickly and could take you by surprise so that the shot is clear.

What should I consider if I'm going to use a digital camera to take video as well?

Fast autofocus is the most important thing to consider for shooting video. D-SLRs are just starting to get this, and it's critical to shooting good-quality video. Without it, you'll get blurry results. Some cameras now come with continuous autofocus that will follow faces and stay focused on them.

Do memory cards go inside the camera?

It depends on the camera, but for most digital cameras they do. In my personal digital camera, the SD card goes where the battery is at the bottom, but it should be labeled somewhere.

Which camera should I choose the Nikon D5100 the Canon 600D or the Nikon D5200?

There are many websites which will compare cameras for you. You should base your decision on what you want in a camera because others may be looking for different qualities in a camera. Look at price, types of lenses included, amount and type of memory, the body type, sensors, resolution, speed, autofocus options, if you want zoom, how to share your photos and videos, video capability, rechargeable or replaceable batteries, LCD screen size, if you want a touch screen, etc. You can do camera comparisons on snapsort.com, dpreview.com, and staples.com.

What causes condensation on the inside of windows and how do you fix it?

If the window is double or treble glazed and the condensation is between the panes, then the glass (sealed unit) needs replaced. If the condensation is on the inside surface of the glass (i.e. you can wipe it with your hands), then the problem is inside the house. IT IS NOT A PROBLEM WITH YOUR WINDOW /S. Installing double glazing does help with this problem. However, it is a myth that windows can or should solve the issue. It is an issue of water inside the building. Common causes can be drying washing on radiators, not ventilating bathrooms and kitchens correctly or water ingress elsewhere in the building.

Anyone have trouble using autofocus when taking sports photography?

You may be experiencing a lack of performance from your Autofocus because of either: 1. Your cameras/lens noticably slow AF motor 2. Poor lighting conditions 3. The incorrect AF mode is being used Depending on what situation is being focused, you may benefit from switching to manual focus for a particular picture (such as one with low light). You may also use a AF Illuminator if your camera has one to help the camera focus in the aforementioned low light scenario. It may be a good idea to practice using your cameras different AF modes to see how they react in various environments. Some autofocus modes prove to be optimal for different or unique situations, such as sports or other photography with fast motion. The truth is, this problem could be due to a number of things. By either practicing with the cameras/lenses autofocus system or using manual focus, you should notice a significant improvement in your pictures. Hope this helped.
