Please take a stool sample to your veterinarian for analysis. They'll prescribe mediation for the worms, depending on what kind they are.

If your cat's nasal discharge is clear, it's probably nothing to worry about, but keep an eye on it. If it's yellow or green, she needs an antibiotic and probably needs to see the vet unless she's been there recently enough for them to prescribe something without seeing her first.

What are a side affect of nose cauterization?

When you get your nose cauterized it does not hurt because the doctor puts a numbing thing in your nose on a cotton ball, After its done it took me about an hour to get my feeling back (the numbing stuff ran down my throat so it numbed my throat) and then I got a runny nose, then a blocked nose, runny nose, blocked nose, it keeps changing. People say " don't blow your nose for a week after it", but I got it done yesterday and I'm blowing my nose hard and nothing bad happened.

What happens when you get citric acid up your nose?

My nasal medication contains citric acid so I've got first hand experience with it. You will experience a sharp pain in your nostrils and then your nasal passages. After a minute or two, it passes. It helps if you have a runny nose.

Why would a female dog rub its butt across the floor?

This sort of behaviour in cats is usually a result of worms. Let's face it - cat's tongues go in some pretty dirty places, simply because they do like to clean themselves. They can easily pick up worms from the dirt they try to clean off their bodies with their tongues, because worms can be harboured in the ground, and these worms are transferred to the cat's body with the dirt, which is then transferred to the cat's intestine when it cleans itself. Worms give cats an itchy butt. Dragging themselves across the ground is often the only way they can relieve the itchiness. If your cat is doin this, get an all-round cat worming solution from the vet. Don't get an off-the-shelf wormer at the supermarket, because these often miss certain worms.
