You may perhaps have confused the words Navajo and Nauvoo. The former is a native American tribe of the desert southwest. The latter is a city in Illinois founded and settled by the Latter-day Saints (Mormons). The Saints applied to the state government for a charter that gave them the power to police themselves. The charter was granted.

Is the secret to Mormon trickery is speak authoritatively about matter concerning the lord and people will buy their line of bull because they are gullible and looking for answers to lifes questions?

Perhaps that is how it works for some, but the Mormon leaders honestly believe what they are saying, and most Mormons understand that the Church encourages them to determine for themselves if the things that church leaders are saying are really from God. Mormons are asked to not be "blind followers" but to decide for themselves through research and prayer.

Who were the leaders of the Mormon trail?

The Mormon Trail didn't have one specific leader or group of leaders. Rather, each individual group that traveled the trail appointed a leader who was knowledgable about the terrain and had the skills needed to lead them safely to the west. Most people who travelled the Mormon Trail were Mormons, and therefore had the same religious leaders, but the religious leaderswere not generally the trail leaders (although in some cases religious leaders returning from missions abroad would assist in leading groups on the trail).

What kind of lies are the leaders of the Mormon church having to tell their members as to why God saw fit to not make a Mormon the President?

The leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) have strict policy of making no comments about political candidates. Several Mormons have had failed presidential campaigns in the past, and Mormons have never seen this as God disapproving of the candidate or his faith - only the voters disapproving of his political policies. The leaders of the Mormon Church have said all that they will say on the matter by releasing a statement congratulating President Obama and asking that all people pray for him.

No, infact, Mormons are Christians themselves. Christians define themselves as followers of Christ-Mormons are followers of Christ-thus, they are Christians. Anything said about Christians of different denominations not being allowed to be with a Mormon is a myth.

What is a Mormon mask?

An internet search shows that the term is often used by non-Mormons when referring to someone who acts as a faithful Mormon around other Church members and Church leaders, but secretly lives differently when not around them. Within the Church, we usually use the term "Jack-Mormon" rather than "Mormon Mask".

What did the Mormons call themselves in pioneer times?

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) have always called themselves Latter-day Saints. "Mormon" was a nickname given to them by their enemies, mocking them for their belief in the Book of Mormon. Mormons in pioneer times as well as today generally call themselves Latter-day Saints and prefer that others call them by this name as well. This title is sometimes abbreviated to LDS.
