Only your own years of experience will help you to guess the age of any fish including Oscars. They get to full size (about 14 to18 inches) in around 2 years or so if they are well bred fish and correctly looked after.
12/29/08 - I have an Oscar that is 3 years old and about 8". Someone elses answer:They can live quite a few years! The ones I had didn't live very long. The bigest one killed all the others, then he died shortly after He was about 8 to 10 inches long and about 8 monthes old
The life cycle of all things is basically the same. Development from a fertilised egg into an embrio. Deveopment of the embrio into a baby, development of the baby into a mature adult. Procreation (produce a fertile egg) then decline until death. We all do it.
It can range anywhere from 10 to 20 years depending on their care
If I recall correctly, Oscars (Astronotus ocellatus) live for anything from 5 to 20 years. I suppose that it all depends as to whether or not they have been provided sanctuary and sustenance
Oscars grow about 1" a month in it's first year of life, so can easily get 10"-12" in a year. They slow after that but should be full grown at 2-3 years old, that's around 14" long.
3 to 4 months
The life cycle of a betta Fish goes like this: *They hatch *They live *They die
My answer is maybe has the same life cycle as a normal fish.
The life cycle of fish will vary depending on the species. Usually the cycle starts with eggs first. Then it will continue as larval, fry, juvenile, adult and finally spawning to continue the cycle.
well, the life cycle of a pirahna starts with an egg, then a small fish and then a big fish that bites hard and has developed teeth
