In early 2016, Disney announced they were interested in a fourth High School Musical however nothing substantial came of that news until November 10th 2017 when Disney announced they were planning a High School Musical series set to debut once their online streaming service is up and running in 2019.
They made no mention of a fourth movie so it most likely was scrapped in place of the series.

∙ 13y agoThe answer to this question is simple, yes. Although internet rumors say that they are not making another, they are. If you saw High School Musical 3: Senior Year then you will notice that they havent just get Troy, Gabriella, Chad, Taylor, Ryan and Sharpay, they have got added characters such as Tiara and Donny. Although these characters do not play a mojor role, they are still woven into the film, and without them the entire story line would have to be changed. The main characters, as listed above, (Troy, Gabriella, Chad, Taylor, Ryan and Sharpay) will not be in High School Musical Four, and the other characters as listed above (Tiara, Donny ect,) will move into the spotlight. High school Musical Four will be called High School Musical: East Meets West. There is not any details as to when the film will be released but more information will be released soon.

No - there isn't. It was highly advertised that High School Musical 3 was the final film in the High School Musical series. Not only did that characters grow us and leave school, but the actors and actresses have also grown up. They have all got other roles or taken other career paths. A few months after HSM 3 came out there was supposedly talk of a HSM 4 being made with all the smaller characters in HSM (Zeke, Kelsey) although there is no proof that this ever happened or ever will happen.
