The US federal government does not require work permits. However, most states do. I really don't feel like going through all the states' various laws and looking this up for you since you were too lazy to tell us where you live; check with your state's department of labor.
I will say this: if your state requires work permits, it almost certainly requires them without exception.

∙ 14y agoHi You can do paid surveys online, those paid to click sites are acttually ok (well some), you click on ads for about 1 pence each and then they send you a cheque or they pay you through PayPal. It wont make you much but if you do about 15 mins a day you can earn about twenty quid a week. this site basically has all the best ones, let me know how it goes :) www.christophergreen1.web.officelive.com

∙ 18y agoMost places require people under 18 to get a work permit. Otherwise the company where an underage person works can be held accountable for violating child labor laws.

You should get a work permit first ! It's no good applying for jobs - without having the right permit to work ! A company will not wait for you to finalise your permit after you've been accepted for a job - they will simply give the job to the next suitable applicant !

Once you have found someone who will hire you, they need to write a letter of intent to hire you that explains your hours and your job responsibilities.
