Is there a way to get scratches out of the inside bowl of a toilet?
yes, you can have your toilet refinished. Another option is to buy some porcoline patch and do it yourself. Just shut off your angle valve and drain as much water as you can out of the bowl by holding down the trip lever. The water should go down enough for you to repair the scratches and let it dry before turning the water back on. Answer Refinishing the bowl is expensive and unecessary. A little "Soft Scrub" and alot of elbow grease will usually do it.

Also, by adding 1 liter of pure vinegar to the cistern (tank at back of toilet) this not only removes any stains from there but also removes any from underneath the rim on the next flush! Sometimes stains are extra stubborn - for this make a paste of white vinegar and baking soda and scrub gently with a soft brush or sponge. No, you can't get AIDs from using a tampon that touched theinside of a toilet bowl. AIDs (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) is only contracted bysomeone who has HIV (Human …Immunodeficiency Virus Infection) - Ibelieve you mean HIV, but this cannot be contracted from a toiletseat, only via contact with bodily fluids such as blood, semen, orvaginal fluids. HIV cannot survive on a toilet seat, let aloneenough to get onto a tampon and survive in a high enoughconcentration to then infect the person using the tampons. . If a person is using a tampon and it touches the inside of a toiletbowl then they should immediately throw away the tampon - using thetampon would introduce bacteria into the vagina, increasing risksof vaginal infection and toxic shock syndrome.
Your rubber flapper is not sealing properly inside your tank.
Remove the tank lid and check the long metal rod with a plastic bulb at the end. This is the "float" and its purpose is to shut off the water valve when the water level reache…s a certain point (to avoid overflowing). To adjust this, you simply bend the metal rod so that the bulb floats higher, thereby shutting off the water when the level is higher in the tank. When you bend the rod, hold it with both hands so you do not damage something on the flush valve at the other end.
It depends on which hemisphere you live in... If you live in the northern hemisphere of the world the water will flow clockwise. If you live in the southern hemisphere it …goes counterclockwise. I'm not exactly sure about why... But I do know it has to do with the earths gravitational pull and the fact that the earth is spinning on an axis.

Usually this happens when a clog is moved suddenly by the weight of water bearing down on it. If this happens all the time then you have a problem. Either there's a clog in t…he line, or your drain line is not up to the task. If females are using the toilet to dispose of sanitary napkins, show them where the trash can is. (You wouldn't believe the clogged lines ....) If it happens following defecation then try using less toilet paper, or flushing more often throughout the process. If it happens following urination also, then call a plumber or roto-rooter.
Inside the toilet tank there should be a small hose off of the fill valve that should be clipped to the inside of the fill tube to allow water to fill the bowl while it refill…s the tank after flushing.
It swirls clockwise in toilet bowls of the Northen Hemisphere and counter-clockwise in toilet bowls of the Southern Hemisphere. (You may have thought this was a simple questio…n, but the answer is not only interesting, it makes you think about several physics concepts at once.)
Please don't tell me you already dropped a deuce in there after you bought it and before you hooked it up to the water supply. :O
