no, the universe is bigger than a star. Obviously, the sun (a star) is in our solar system, which there are many stars in our galaxy, and many galaxies in our universe, there may be more that one universe contained in what I choose to call 'Infinity'.

As part of abstract thought, yes.

In some instances, quite modest distances can be considered to be an infinite distance apart - inter-atomic forces are negligible over distances of greater than many atomic radii, so atoms that are a metre (or far less) apart can be considered to be an infinite distance apart.

I think, since universe is basically everything in the world, it should be very equal to infinity. I mean, think about it.

UNIVERSE = INFINITY
