If you use a good filter, yes. But drinking it straight would be risky. Swamp water, along with most water in rivers and lakes, contains all sorts of bacteria, chemicals, and other nastys that will leave you living in the bathroom for quite a while, if not land you in the hospital. My suggestion, don't drink it unless you can purify it. And I'm not talking about a Brita pitcher either. I'm talking serious filtration. If you're just looking to drink some water while out boating, got to an REI or other outdoors shop and pick up a water purifier. It'll run you about $80, but you could get water anywhere.
