Second hand smoke can be from any source where anyone smokes. It could be at the work place, in a car, in bars, dance clubs, and can be from anyone.

To think that you are at the most risk by family living at home is incorrect, as is the fact that you have to be exposed in great amounts.

Smoking itself is harmful, and others that breathe in even small amounts are at risk for harmful effects that might not show up until many years later.

Yes, even when somebody was smoking in let's say, your house, and they we're smoking on your couch, and if you sit on your couch, or bounce on it, whatever. Than you can get third hand smoking, and all of those intoxications can kill you if you're around it all of the time. Second hand smoking is even worse, and can give you more intoxications. Also if a child or teenager is around the smoking person, and they want to try smoking, they won't mind it, since other teenagers who havent been around so much smoke, and tobacco would hate it, and disgust it, and not try it again, or go out and buy a whole pack or cigerattes as a Second hand smoker would.
