The short answer is "No." There is only "safer sex." For sexually transmitted diseases, using a condom will reduce your risk TREMENDOUSLY, but will not make it disappear. As for getting pregnant... condoms have a 12% failure rate. If that's all you use--- you're looking at a 1 in 10 chance of getting pregnant. Is that safer? Yes. Is that safe? No. For pregnancy... use multiple methods. It will decrease your chances of getting pregnant greatly. Diaphragm, pull-out, condom, spermicide, the pill, Fertility Awareness Method, etc... use as many as you can, and you will be "safer." There is no such thing as 'safe sex.' COndoms break way to much. Condoms can come off. Trust me trying to get a condom out of vaginal cavity is not easy or fun. No there is no 100% safe sex condoms do provide a lesser chance of contracting diseases and getting pregnant but diseases such as herpes can still be transmitted even with the use of a condom so please be extremely careful with the choices that you make concerning your partner and the methods of protection you use hope this helps, good luck, and GOD BLESS!!!
