Some vets say 50/50 some say 80% make it. 80% make it IF the symptoms are caught very early and supportive care is started right away.

Untreated, most die in 24-72 hours from dehydration or a secondary infection.

Technically, yes, it is possible, but not very likely, for some dogs to recover from parvovirus infection without treatment. However, parvo is a nasty infection with a high mortality rate - the odds are not good for your dog to pull through without serious medical intervention.

If at all possible, I would strongly recommend seeking treatment from a veterinarian, particularly if this is a puppy with parvo. Treatment consists of maintaining hydration and encouraging the dog to eat as much as possible (although the dog is probably just going to throw it back up until the infection starts to clear).

Can older dogs get Parvovirus?

as long as a dog is alive it can get Parvo. Get its shots including parvo to keep it from possibly getting it. I have had a few dogs we were caring for (that had been strays) die of it. It is the most tragic thing to watch. Get your dog it's shorts, the parvo and rabies shots aren't that expensive. Also, heartworm test and preventative is well worth the money.

Can you make something to cure parvo?

No. The best thing to do for your dog if they have parvo is to take them to the veterinarian. Parvo usually requires intense medical treatment, and even then the patient does not make it sometimes.

Can dogs get parvo from cats?

No. Parvo is a disease ONLY in dogs that attacks the cells in the GI tract. This disease is not zoonotic (humans cannot catch it) and neither can felines. Felines can get another form of parvo called panleukopenia unrelated to Parvo with similar symptoms. But dogs can't catch it from cats and vice versa.Source: Veterinary Technician at an emergency and specialty hospital.
