Martin Taylor is a 'hypnotist' not a clown or magician but his act is indeed rubbish.
Martin Taylor and all that hypnotist stuff yeah? I saw his act and thought he was really up himself and deeply annoying.
I also saw Martin Taylor a while back and found his clown act shallow and silly (rather than amusing or entertaining or enlightening). The audience were laughing at him but he seemed to think he was hoodwinking us. It was a depressing mix of boring, silly and arrogant but that's just my opinion.
Martin Taylor is a hypnotist and a clown working in London. I have only seen a clip of him on YouTube and I thought there was a tendency towards smarmy patter and he came across as distinctly oily. There may be another Martin Taylor who is a magician but I think this must be the man you are asking about so you can check him out on youtube before you waste your money.
A friend met him after another show and said he is so affected that he wears a monocle!! I think that's all you need to know about this person before you make an informed choice about whether or not to see him do his thing.
