Can you love someone again after you fell out of love?

Yes, it is possible for a person to fall in love again, after a previous love. The real question to ask oneself is- "was it just infatuation?" Time heals all wounds, some just take longer than others.

AnswerI personally believe that if you truly love someone that it is highly unlikely you will fall in "true" love woth someone else. You may love someone else however it will never be the same. You always will still think about that person it will never fully go away. Your heart has "blown its load" and anybody else from that point on will only get a small piece of your heart. WHen you truly love someone and you end up with them than it WILL last if its not true love than the word is abused in a sense b/c its a DEEP fealing that I believe can only be acheived once in a lifetime...That's my personal opinion, and I have been through it so that's my experience. AnswerI don't feel it is easy to forget ones first love and love again...its more like a compromise as human being is a social animal and can't survive in isolation. But loving someone again with same enthu and same feelings and same freshness is almost impossible. It is very possible to fall back in love with an ex. Sometimes the good times are more than the bad and the possibilty is great for a second chance. But as with all things, caution is needed in order to protect both you and your ex. Communicating about what when wrong is a good idea for making sure that it doesn't go wrong again. If he or she is the one, your heart will give them a second chance.

Yes it is because you have formed a bond with your ex and probably haven't had enough time to get over him completely yet. Perhaps the relationship with your ex wasn't all that bad and you just parted company. If your ex was abusive, cheated on you, then don't look back and be glad you have found a new love. Sit down and write down all the good/bad things about your ex and why you split-up. Then on another list write down all the good things about your new boyfriend and all the good things you like about him. You sure can ... but let things rest for a few years after a break up. You need time to do things for yourself, and cleanse the soul. Take that vacation you've been wanting to do - do something special just for you and you alone. When the time is right, you may find another special person that you will really care for and fall madly in love with again. The biggest thing to remember though, is to keep looking forward - never ever look back - keep taking one step forward all through this process and don't let your conscience try to put things back the way they were - after a breakup, they can never be the same as they were with that person ... never. The hurt will always be lurking in the shadows.
